Canada Goose Chilliwack Authentic or Fake

Different type of Canada Goose Chilliwack? Authentic or Fake? Can someone please enlighten me?

First link: is the style i had, where you can clearly see the goose symbol on the left pocket along with "canada goose expedition blahblah"

http://www.baggamenswear.co.uk/getimage ... uctid=3217

Second link: ive seen this jacket around also but as you can see there is no goose symbol on the pocket and it just says "canada goose" in white letters.. is it the same jacket?

This maybe a little off-topic however,
I have actually been looking for a Canada Goose jacket either second hand or new on kijiji and craigslist. If you are doing the same watch out, I have now gone to see 2 and they were both knock offs.

The biggest thing to look out for is the material. Usually knock offs come wrapped up in a package so the jacket is a little wrinkled on the back and Canada Goose jackets are made out of a heavy dull wrinkle free outer material. Also take a close look at the fur. Coyote fur has a distinct pattern.

Best of luck.

best way to check if its real or fake is bring some water with you.. and dump it on the jacket ( a lot of water ). real ones will bounce right off and fake ones with absorb it.

The ones with the white Canada goose labels are the new versions. They are real.

There are tons of fakes out there.

As mentioned: material should be a big giveaway, the real thing is slick and mostly water repellent, it also doesn't wrinkle.

If you've seen the real thing, then when you see the fake fur it'll be a dead giveaway too, not even close. The real thing is huge, soft and is real coyote fur, the fake thing is this shriveled up thing with cotton as fur.. also the real fur is kind of 'water repellent' as well, it doesn't clump into like a wet cottonball. (imagine, a coyote in the winter).

Fur is usually the dead give away.

This is a good example of a fake.

Hmm...I actually thought that's real...from the picture...lol

But does anyone know or can teach me about Canada Goose Parka?

like someone said up there, if I pour water on the jacket, it shouldnt be wet?
What if I pour it on the fur? Will it be dry or will it still be we as usual?

Thanks

none of them have pictures of their jacket itself. you deff need to see them in real life. I would reccomend checking their tag, it says their number on it.

good luck

    1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Cameronnnn on 2/14/2013 - 3:19 pm
    A:
"It most definitely is. They use coyote fur around the hoods of their jackets because it never freezes, doesn't hold water, and the uneven hair lengths create a windbreak that protects exposed skin, helping to reduce heat loss from the face. Faux-fur does not have the same protection."

Question by thess on 11/5/2013 - 4:52 pm

    A:
"Canada Goose jackets can run a bit large. It's best if you check your measurements against the size chart to see what size is suggested for you based off of your measurements. If you are in doubt, feel free to try one size down as these jackets can run large and some people do find that they need to size down."

    Q:
"Hello. Isn't this jacket too warm if an average winter temperature in my region is from -15 to -20 Celsius? How is it comparing to Citadel Parka? And do you ever offer Expedition Parka in white?"
    1 Answers | Answer Question
    Question by igor.bearry on 8/14/2014 - 10:00 am
    A:
"This jacket would be perfect for that temperature! We do not have it on order in white. We only have the black color on order as of right now. The Canada Goose Citadel Parka is actually going to protect you against water a bit better than this jacket, it is also a bit longer and offers a removable fur trim on the hood. The fur on the hood of this jacket is attached and cannot be removed. "

"Based on the measurements you have given us we would recommend going with a size Medium. You can view the size chart here and look at the waist and hip measurements to give you a more proper guide to the size you will need. "
Answer by Kacy (Peter Glenn Staff) on 10/17/2014 - 8:39 am
    A:
"I'm 6'2, 255 with a large chest, 44in, small gut and 32" thighs. XL works great. It bulkey as expected, but not restrictive. Top sub freezing weather jacket. Lacks the flair of a Moncler or Mackage, but makes up for it in performance. Very warm, maybe too warm for extended hikes and physical exertion in say 0°C. If it -50°C then you're set with one of the best on the market."

Question by Max on 4/19/2016 - 3:00 am
    A:
"The Expedition is going to be shorter than the Citadel by about 1.75 inches. The Expedition also has a slightly higher fill power for the insulation than the Citadel. Those will be the main differences between the two parkas. The warmth, fit, and water resistance will be highly similar for the Citadel and the Expedition! "
