Canada Goose - are they worth it? Banff Parka or Chateau Parka or Citadel? im a guy

Canada Goose Jacket- Banff Parka (735) or Chateau Parka (695? citadel (785)
for the 35 dollars more, the banff offers a few extra features , but i like the slimmer simpier look of the chateau parka.

what do you guys think?

and are canada goose jackets worth the price?

thanks!

if you are looking for a unique look. go with Banff or Citadel. Chateau is pretty popular.

most definitely sell-out by mid-winter, since they don't seem to make enough of those.

thanks for your reply!

i liked the chatea cause it was more simplier and had the buttons on the front. but i was going through the features of em all, and for 35 or 85 more, u seem to get quite a bit more like removable hood, etc.

the banff is nice, but im not a fan of the 4 button pockets.

def the chateau and cidadel are my main eye catchers.

i thought the most popular canada goose was the, chillwack i think its called?

I like Chateau as well, I personally think it should be the "IT" jacket for CG instead of Chilliwack. However, people like 'cheaper' jacket... Also, the price of Chateau has been going up for last 3 years.

Banff is nice because of the leather finish, I think Banff should be priced a bit more higher than Chateau in the next season, can't be that cheap to use leather.

Wish I can comment more on the Citadal, but I don't own one. lol

depends what your definition of "warm" is.

it is all you need for Toronto weather. I personally find it not as warm as Chilliwack since it's is not as tight at the bottom (to keep out the wind.

however, a 2 layer shirts or a thin sweater should be more than enough

Having owned all three, I'll give you my two cents...

The Chateau is the most functional, with hand warmer pockets and clean and simple looks. However, that being said, it's not as "poofy" per-se as the other two, and I feel as though it won't warm as well as the others. That being said, the Banff isn't particularly special in terms of warmth either...

My main issue is the hood and the pockets. In my opinion, it looks the nicest out of the three (the leather is pretty good), however the hood doesn't block your neck from the wind, so it does get cold, and you will need a scarf. Also, it doesn't have fleece-lined pockets, and all of the pockets are thin and vertically placed (like a cardigan). I did not enjoy this. However, it is still generally warm, and looks the best.

My personal favourite in this case is the Citadel. It's essentially a slimmed down Expedition, and is extremely functional with fleece-lined pockets and vertically placed pockets as on the Banff. The hood is far better, blocking the wind from all directions. However, it is the bulkiest of the three and isn't as nice looking as either the Banff or the Chateau.

Feel free to ask any questions!

in terms of poofy/keeping warm, according to canda goose website, they both have the same amount of down and are considered "slim fit". i guess form your experience, there not the same?

the citadel is only bout 90 more over the chateau. im thinking if im gonna spend that much on the chateau, the extra 90 wouldn't hurt for even mroe features.

though i am attracted by the chateas simplier look, and the big thing believe it or not was the buttons. coming from a peacoat, i always thought that looked nice and formal per say.

are the hoods on both models and furs the same? (other than i think the cidadel has a fully removable hood AND fur?)

thanks for ur help! :)

oh and i think im leaning towards black color if that makes any difference.
